During the week of July 13, the new Ebook Central Reader App will replace ADE as the primary offline reading solution for full downloads of Ebook Central ebooks.
The new Ebook Central Reader App is a dedicated mobile and desktop app offering a more streamlined, secure, and accessible experience.
The app, available on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, supports EPUB and PDF formats and allows users to manage their loans and devices.
It is only for full downloads and does not replace the Ebook Central online reader.
If you have current loans downloaded on Adobe Digital Editions, not to worry - they will be automatically synchronized during the migration. Any titles you have on loan will instantly appear and remain accessible in the new app, so you won’t experience any disruption. You can continue reading seamlessly in the Reader App without re-borrowing, and your existing loans will also remain available in ADE until they expire.
For information about installing the app and downloading ebooks, see the ProQuest Ebook Central Libguide, which also includes a link to the dedicated FAQ page.
