New Photo Collection Acquired by Institute Archives
The Institute Archives has acquired a collection of black and white photographs taken by Louis B. Puffer, RPI Class of 1909. As a student and later mathematics instructor at Rensselaer, Puffer photographed a wide variety of subjects, including student activities, RPI buildings and classrooms, surveying expeditions, industries, modes of transportation, outdoor scenes, and places and events in downtown Troy. The photos are identified and neatly arranged in seven albums dating from 1905 to 1914. They are available to researchers in the Institute Archives on the third floor of Folsom Library
