Visual Resources Collection at Rensselaer Research Libraries

Posted: Jul 30, 2015

The Architecture Library contains a loan collection of approximately 116,000 slides on contemporary and historical buildings, structural design, building technology, city planning, and fine arts. Nearly 50,000 licensed and in-house digital images have been added to the collection in recent years. More information on these collections and access to the licensed digital images can be found on the research databases page of RensSearch (the libraries' web site) as well as the image collection page at this link.

The slide collection and other physical items are housed in the Visual Resources Room of the Architecture Library. In addition to color and b&w slides there are also collections of photographs, prints, maps, drawings, and models almost exclusively on architectural topics.
