Our electronic resource subscription licenses restrict access to current Rensselaer students, staff, faculty and researchers. Others, including Affiliates and the general public, are permitted to use online databases, electronic journals, and other resources on computers located on the main floor of the library, by requesting login by a staff member. Our electronic resource contracts generally state they cannot be used for commercial purposes. Violation of this rule may lead to loss of library privileges.

For a fee, in addition to other related costs, the Libraries will mail or fax copies of materials from its collections. Use the ILLiad interlibrary loan system to request these materials.
