The Rensselaer Libraries offer some services to you as an employee of a company located in Rensselaer Technology Park or Emerging Ventures Ecosystem (EVE) in the Rice Building. If you have questions that are not answered here, please use the Contact Us link.

The Folsom and Architecture Libraries are open to members of the Rensselaer community and the general public, however the doors to Folsom are always locked. Those with a current Rensselaer ID can use it to electronically unlock the doors while others can use the intercom and request access (A photo ID may be requested upon entry). The Greene building, which houses the Architecture Library, is locked and closed to the general public weekdays after 5:00 p.m. and weekends.

For information about access for people with disabilities, go to our Users With Disabilities page.

Book Loans
Rensselaer Affiliates are eligible for a Rensselaer Libraries' Courtesy Card. Request a Courtesy Card at the Folsom or Architecture Library Service Desk. Borrowers with "courtesy" privileges may check out up to 3 books, government documents, and/or technical reports for a three (3) week loan period. For more detailed information, see our Borrowing Policies page.

Electronic Resources
Our electronic resource subscription licenses restrict access to current Rensselaer students, staff, faculty, and visitors to the library. Visitors may use the computers located on the main floor of the library if they request a staff member to log them in as a guest.

Use of our electronic resources for commercial purposes is forbidden. Violation of this rule will lead to the loss of library privileges.

Campus wireless service is restricted to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff of Rensselaer.
