Hi! My name is Colette Holmes. I am the Management Librarian at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y. My office is on the Main Floor of Folsom Library. As the Management Librarian, I work with the faculty, students, and staff in the Department of Economics and the Lally School of Management & Technology. My primary responsibilities in this role include:

• reference and research services to members of the Lally School and the Economics Department,
• library liaison between the Rensselaer Research Libraries and both the Lally School and the Economics Department,
• collections for the areas of management; business; economics: and related subjects, and
• instructional services and materials for the Lally School and the Economics Department.

As Management Librarian, I further support research and reference services by authoring library course web pages and subject guide pages, while maintaining a web page of electronic resources for my Management and Economics constituencies.

As a member of the Libraries' Reference and Instructional Services Department in Folsom Library, I also provide reference desk coverage at the Folsom Library reference desk, participate in some general library instruction and orientation, participate in departmental planning, and provide library users with assistance in the use of a wide variety of printed and electronic resources. Our main electronic resource, RensSearch, is the Libraries' own web page and includes links to our on-line catalog, more than two hundred research databases, the full text of research journals, electronic reserves and other library services along with World-Wide Web access.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Rhode Island College and a Master's degree in Library Science from the University at Albany. My professional memberships include the American Library Association's Business Resources and Services Section (BRASS) and Government Documents Round Table (GODORT), the Capital District Business Librarians Group of which I am a member of the Programs Committee, and the Business Librarian's Interest Group (BLIG) of the New England Chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries.
