Online Gallery Raises the Curtain on a New Archives Exhibit

Posted: Jun 28, 2012

A new exhibit is now available on the Institute Archives online gallery. Dim the Lights… Performance Spaces at Rensselaer tracks many of the places in which musicians, actors, and others have performed, from the late 19th century until the completion of the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) in 2009. The exhibit presents a wide range of photographs, architectural drawings and renderings, programs, and promotional materials for both on- and off-campus performance spaces, as well as images of some of the many types of performances associated with Rensselaer.

Many of the items in this exhibit were originally displayed in the lobby of the Folsom Library in conjunction with the opening of EMPAC. Thanks to the dedication of the archives intern, Amber D’Ambrosio, it is now available 24/7/365. Thanks Amber!
